Busy as a Bee

There's a lot to catch up on seeing as I haven't blogged since last Wednesday. Thursday night was The Wet Bar night! Definitely a fun night, right Erin? :) Friday was low key and I spent it mostly recovering from the night before after having mexican with my sis, BIL, and good friends Matt & Amber England. Saturday, I slept in (or layed in bed) until around noon. That's what I am talking about! Isn't that what weekends are for?!? Once finally out of bed, I met Erin at the delish Cracker Barrel and a little bit of shopping at Nashville West. She came back to the Bluff to stay and help me go over the wedding ceremony I was performing Sunday. But she had some other plans that I was not invited(heehee) to so I snuck off to go late night bowling with Ryan, Savannah, Livi, Jake, Luke, Anna, Sarah, Brett, Andrew, & Eric. It's always a good time with any one of those guys! So glad I went. Sunday morning came fast and my nerves were starting to get to me before the wedding ceremony. But all-in-all it went very smoothly (except when I signed the couples marriage certificate I put July instead of June & had to correct it- this is really eating away at me - sad day). I am looking forward to all of the great pics done by JCP! The whole weekend was fantastic - except for the whole date on the marriage certificate & I never did get my house cleaned!!

Until next time folks.

Hump Day

Thank goodness it's one more day closer to Friday. Supposed to be having lunch with Luke today. I'm not sure where we will go. I could really use something fried about right now! Definitely not part of the 'Summer Slimdown'! I broke down yesterday and went to our snack machine here at work. I was really depressed afterwards when I realized that I just used 6 WW points on 4 bites of food - ugh. But I did an extra activity to make up for it, I think.

Mine and Erin's walk in the park yesterday was lovely. Stifling hot but lovely all the same. I always forget how many people actually go to the park. You have your joggers, your power walkers (that's us, haha!), your strollers, people watchers, drug dealers, the homeless, mothers-that-don't-watch-their-kids, the hoodlums and lastly (my favorite) the guy peeing in the bushes! I guess that's what you get when you go to a public park. We are going to try to stick it out again today if the rain subsides. It's looking gross out there at the moment.

One interesting thing happened yesterday! And this is probably the most exciting thing of my whole week - whole month even! I officially ORDAINED! My cousin April and her fiance are getting married in an intimate ceremony this Sunday at her house in Burns and she needed someone to perform the ceremony. I looked into getting ordained online and Dickson County recognizes it so BAM! You can now call me Reverend Kelly Ann Jennette. I am looking forward to performing the duties on Sunday. It is going to be so special.

On a different (sad) note, I will be missing the famous Ryan Arthur's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!) this Saturday afternoon at the Sounds' Greer Stadium because the Dyl Pickle is graduating from PRESCHOOL! I'm sure there were days that her parents weren't sure she (they) was going to make it but she did! Only 13 more years! It's hard to believe that she will be starting kindergarten in August. I feel like it was just yesterday when she was born. People say that all of the time but it's really true. She's been on this earth for five years and has such a BIG heart already. I wish I could be more like her.

Until next time folks.

Networking

Isn't facebook funny and the things you can find out from facebook? Who's engaged, married, single, with or without kids, lives overseas or lives next door. I wonder if the guy who created facebook made it for stalkers like me?! Haha probably not. I spend majority of my day checking peoples statuses, if I have new comments and uploading pictures taken just now:) What would I do if I didn't have facebook, I wonder? Actually do my job and probably not be so addicted to my iphone haha. So thank you facebook creator guy, I love you!

Last night was pretty uneventful. But a few highlights, I took Sydney to ball practice and Dylan cried because she didn't want me to leave her. And my cousin wants me to become ordained so that I can marry them this weekend! So when I finish this blog that's what I will be looking into.

Erin and I decided we would go walking tonight at Centennial Park as part of our "Summer Slimdown" (aka weight-loss-for-Savannah's-wedding & for other reasons that I hope to be able to share with you shortly if something transpires;)). Well I don't have too much to blog about today so I will just leave it at that.

Until next time folks.

Wake up Little Girl

So I started this post last Friday but was unable to finish because of the lack of sleep I had the night before. And by lack I mean non-existent, seriously.

Erin and I went to the Wet Bar Thursday night to hear Shane & Larry play music. We saw lots of old faces and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves;) Afterwards, we went to Boot's for a late night bonfire. Which was kind of silly for me to do since I had to be at work at 7:30 am. That's why sleep was so non-existent Thursday night. Here are a few funny photos from our fun night:

Friday, my only plan was to sleep. I had planned to go to bed at 5:30 as soon as I got home. So that's what I did. I only slept for about 2 hours but finally went back to bed at 10pm after watching the tube.

I had to get up 6am Saturday morning to babysit Sydney and Stephen. And of course, Sydney was awake waiting for me when I got there. We are both one in the same where we like to eat as soon as we wake so I made us some eggo waffles before we fell back asleep until close to 10;) Now that's sleeping in, kids! The rest of the day consisted of us going to baseball/softball games. Sydney is our little rockstar and overachiever in the family. She hit her 3rd homerun that night and scored the only 2 points of the whole game. You gotta love her. Here she is on the right from her gymnastics competition.

Yesterday was great! I had lunch with my aunt Sissie, Cousin's Dawn & Steph, my wonderful mother and sister for the guest of honor, my cousin April. She is getting married next weekend in a small intimate ceremony in her backyard with only her fiance and son. So we wanted to do something a little special for her to let her know we love her and support her! We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and for most of the ladies, it was their first time. So it took them a little while to decide what they wanted from CF's 20 page menu. I have a few great pictures from lunch. I will have to upload them and share. Afterwards, we made a quick pit stop to see our new baby cousin Charlie, who is such a fighter! He was home for a day from the hospital before having to return with jaundice & sleeping extra heavily. We are all praying he will get to come home today.

Until next time folks.

Trash Day

I have finally made it into work today after a detour driving in. I am drinking my morning coffee and ate a hearty breakfast of egg beaters omelet and turkey sausage. Part of my lose-weight-for-Savannah's-wedding diet. I have until October to whip myself into shape.

Last night's dinner with Sharon and Savannah was great! Fully enjoyed the conversation and the great frozen lemonade I had. I am looking forward to many more of those times:) I didn't make it to the Station Inn last night...I was much too tired. I hope GOTV did well and had a large crowd.

One of my bestest friends, Olivia, is on vacation right now and she supposed to be coming home tomorrow. I can't wait to hear about her amazing adventures with her Jakey Poo. And look at all of her pictures because I know she took some;) That's what I love about her...you can always guarantee that Liv will document any special occasion we have. Thanks Liv!
As for school, right now my decision has to due upon money:( I did some math and the tuition for LU is insane for me to finish my degree there. Do I want to pay that much money to be making way less a year after my degree? Anyways, I have a month or two before I need to make that decision. Maybe I will win the lottery before then **crosses fingers**.
Tonight = GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!! Erin is coming to staying in the Bluff and we are going to hit up The Wet Bar for some free beer and live music - Rock It Out, Shane Robnett & Larry Fleet!! A night guaranteed to be a good one full of old friends.
Until next time folks.

Next Move in the Game of Life

Day two of Blog and all I have thought about since yesterdays post was what I would write in todays! Besides one of the greatest cups of coffee that I am drinking at the moment this is what I have to say;)

Three good things are happening today - On my lunch break, I will be heading over to the Lipscomb campus to meet with the Adults Studies assistant about finishing up my degree. It is my life's goal to get a college degree and at this rate it will be a lifetime! I don't have much longer to go if I could just put my heart into it. Only one thing concerns me with LU, tuition is outrageous! When did life become so expensive?? Maybe after today's meeting I will have a better idea if LU is the place for me.

Number 2 on the agenda - I am meeting up with Sharon from http://jonathoncampbell.com/ to pick up some prints that my family ordered of Dyl Pickle. Shout out to Sharon for helping run a successful (and amazing!) business and being a mother of 3! You ROCK! Before the photo shoot, all Dylan kept saying was "I want to be in magazines!". I told her 'I don't know about being in magazines but you will be on the internet". She was just as happy:) After today, I will have physical prints to enjoy instead only on the web! Here are a couple pics of Dylan done by JCP:

Last but not least on the calendar for today - My most talented Cousin, Deanie Richardson, put together a band of kids, called Green on the Vyne. And boy, are they amazing! They are having a CD release party tonight at the infamous Station Inn in the Gulch at 9pm. If I can stay up that late, I will be in attendance but at this point, I can't make any promises:) Everyone needs to check them out at http://myspace.com/greenonthevyne.com. They make me jealous of their talents & wish that I inherited the "musical" gene.

Until next time folks.

My first time

Today I decided to start a blog...for my own sake and no one else's really. I thought it would be good for me to just let it all out-ha. As if I don't already:) So I am just going to get on with the damn thing and jump right into it, head first. I got the title to my blog from a Matt Nathanson song called Bulletproof Weeks...I don't know what that means but its pretty catchy.

June 2nd is my cousin Rocky's 25th birthday - he is crazy and energetic and pretty handy when you have a flat. I appreciate him dearly. And for a couple of months, along with new DAD cousin Trey, we will all be the same age. Late 1983-84 was a good era for our family, I have to say:)

It's supposed to be uber-ly hot today, like in the 90's. Really - what happened to Spring? It went from Winter to Summer in a split second. Hopefully Sis & BIL's pool will be up and running this weekend so we don't miss another weekend of swimming.

I think I should wrap this up for now. This is probably a pretty boring post for my first time but it's getting late and I have to get to work. So long for now:)
