Times Flying!

It's so close to February, it's crazy. 2010 is already moving so quickly. The weather forecast is showing snow "storm" (that's right STORM) for tomorrow. But whoever really knows with this Tennessee weather?!?!

Operation Beach Trip has started off rather nicely. I have researched several places & find one that is already at the top of my list. As soon as I get the funds, that baby is mine - well for a week in September it is:)

Last night, I put in my two week notice at my part time job. 2010 is supposed to be starting fresh and I am ready to do just that. Time to get back to living my life:)

I hope everyone out there is living their life to the fullest!

The Beach.
Making plans to get to the ocean this summer somewhere. These gloomy January days leave me longing for warm days at the beach lounging in a beach chair, reading my book, listening to my iPod, & snacking on summer's favorite foods. And staying up all night with those people that make me laugh or having a dance party:). Keeping my fingers crossed I can accomplish these things this summer of 2010.

Say a Lil' Prayer.
Just thinking about my mom today. She has been under a lot of stress lately & I know it also bothering her mentally & physically. So if you can please add her to your prayer list today (& everyday:)! I love her & I need her to ok.

Snow Day

Snow Day.
So it's been snowing in Tennessee for the past 3 days and it's been great!! Well except for the driving in it part. I've spent the better part of the day napping & catching up on cheesy reality tv (thank you MTV!)...

New Year's Resolution

I always seem to have the same new year's resolutions & never seem to keep them. So this year, I am going to go about it a little differently. Here are my resolutions in no particular order:

1) Blog More. I must be the world's worst blogger:( Hopefully, I can do better even if it's just a quick recap or hello.

2) Be Healthy. Every other year it's been to Lose Weight, whether it be the healthy way or the unhealthy way. This year, it's going to be different.

3) Be on Time to Work, EVERYDAY. :)

4) Tell my family I LOVE THEM, EVERYDAY. And surround myself with good positive people.

5) Regain some financial stability. Please.

6) Step up my dating game. **laughs**

Along with all of these, I am going to PRAY more. But I don't really want to put that in the resolution catergory...

I hope everyone has had a great start to a fresh new year. Here is to twenty-ten!!

Wedding Season

Wedding Season is in full bloom! Next weekend is the first of the two weddings I was asked to participate in and I am ready. And I LURVE it! Hopefully, I will have pictures for everyone to see afterwards!

Weekend

Exciting stuff for the weekend & I thought I would just give you a quick run-down.

Sister & BIL is off to the lake & I am off to Dogsit for my cousin. Also having a mini-reunion with some girls from MMC & sooo excited about it. It has been literally years since I have seen them & we all live in like a 50 mile radius. We will be sharing our love for Mexican food:) Tomorrow, is Sav & Ryan's Speakeasy Couples Bridal Shower which requires costume & I am in charge of the cupcakes! I went shopping yesterday for mine & Erin's head pieces at Party City. They didn't have everything out yet but they did have the feather headbands!!! I can't wait to wear those and spend time with some of my favorite people (all at the same time!). Sunday, I am hosting a bridal tea for my cousin's fiance. I wanted a black, white, & lime green theme. I can't wait for it. It's a little stressful but I love having parties!

Oscar goes for his weekly check-up today. Praying for good news!

Tough

For some reason this week has been tough - the toughest I have experienced in a while. My sweet little sugar lump love muffin is having his eye removed tomorrow:( I keep looking at his pictures on my desk, in my phone, on my facebook and it makes me sad that he has lived 9 years of his live with nothing wrong with him. But now he has to live the rest of it with one eye. I will leave you guys will some photos of my heart:

August

Can you believe that it's August already? And not just August but Mid-August!! That's insane. Where is this year going? I have a lot coming up within the next couple of months, both good and bad. My cousin's fiance's bridal shower, my cousin's wedding, (the dreaded) removal of Oscar's right eye:(, Savannah's Speakeasy Bridal Shower, Savannah's wedding:), and last but not least Disney World! Once these festivities end, new ones begin with the holidays. Halloween, Thanksgiving, MY BIRTHDAY (and yes, it's a holiday), and then Christmas. That's all I really have to say today.

Tired is an Understatement

Blogging after going at Holiday World is tough. We had 2 jam-packed fun-filled days in Indiana Tuesday and Wednesday. And I had to come back to work yesterday and boy was it tough! I am glad I went with everything going on with Oscar, it was a good get-a-way. And I hope we can go back soon.

My very dear friend from work, Monique, is getting married tomorrow in downtown Nashville tomorrow. So the wedding festivities are happening. Yesterday, we had a surprise mini bridal here at the office and boy was she surprise!! Tonight we have the rehearsal dinner and last minute touches to the reception hall. Tomorrow is the big day!

Other news, My little Dyl Pickle is turning 5 on Sunday. I can't believe it. Turning 5 means starting kindergarten:( She is growing up so fast! Saturday she is having a swim party but I am missing it because of the wedding. But I will celebrate with her later. She still has 2 other parties to look forward to with Derek's side of the family and our friends. I just love that little girl and can't believe what a smart, compassionate, gentle, kind-hearted, lively, delightful young lady she has become. Happy Birthday Dylan!!

As far as Oscar, he still has to have his sutchers for another week (along with that annoying Elizabethan collar). I am seriously ready for this to all be over with. I want my old Oscar back:(

Anyways, subject change, maybe after this wedding is over we can start planning our girls getaway trip for Savannah's wedding! Pretty excited about her whole wedding in general. Looking forward to all the fun to be had!

Good News! My little love muffin is doing a lot better today:) I am glad. We went for a walk yesterday and he seemed to do fine (except for the extra treats I have been feeding him because I felt sorry for him).

Something I haven't blogged about this week is Phallen's Going-Away-Party that happened at the Wet Bar Sunday! Loads of Fun. Even Ryan and Savannah came which I was extremely excited about:) We talk literally everyday but it's been a while since we've seen each other. And it was good to hang out and let loose (even though it was on a Sunday and we had to work the next day). That night will bring many memories to laugh at later, just ask Erin!?!?! Phall is going away to Ole Miss and I hope she envelopes every college experience

possible. I will definitely have to get down to Mississippi for a visit.

Speaking of not seeing each other enough, we are actually having dinner today which will be good for both our hearts and our bellies:) We are eating at the local Lipscomb favorite Mexican restuarant Jim Nachos (which Jim nachos are my absolute favorite!). I will have to take a picture to post.

I am still car hunting. This is probably one of the biggest financial decisions I have ever made so as you can see I am getting terrible anxiety from it. Pray for me.

OOOHHH so tired...need sleep.

Oscar has been limping on his front left paw and I am really worried about it. I almost stayed home from work today because of it. When I went to leave he didn't even budge:( I am really sad about this. Pray that he gets better...

I love my little Sugar Lump and I would be lost without him.

Lean Pocket Breakfast

Oh, it's Wednesday. I am eating a pizza Lean Pocket for breakfast - yum. Not really. Work again today. Hopefully I can be a little more focused than yesterday.

Went my mom and Tonya's yesterday afternoon to see the kids and eat dinner. And Sydney conned me into helping her clean her room while I was there. That kid has more knick-knackery than any kid I know. Tonya also asked me to go to Holiday World with them July 21-22 so I need to see if I can get off work for that. Might put me over my days for Disney but I always have sick days;)

Weekend plans are unfolding pretty nicely. Blind date this weekend either Friday or Saturday - it's undetermined. I will let you know how that goes on Monday. Saturday morning, Erin found a new bed off Craigslist that she wants to get for her new apartment. So we are going to look at/buy it. Sunday is BIL's sister, Deena's baby shower at Meemaw's (I guess I can call her that). Sweet Ella Renee is due in August! And then that night is Phallen's Going Away Party at the Wet Bar in Dickson.

Just this morning, I finally heard back from Hallmark Volkeswagon about the car I was interested in. It's a little bit more than I want to pay but may be worth it since I really love it. I will have to see. Here are two options so far:

Black is my favorite color (but not in a gothic way but in a Jackie O way) so I ultimately am drawn to that one but of course it's the more expensive of the two.

Mondays

Last night, Erin and I went to look at her new apartment that she will be moving into the first of August! So happy for her and I know this is a big (& a little bit scary) step for her. But hopefully she will find what she is looking for and grow stronger because of it. I love you BESTIE!! I am sure lots of GREAT;) memories will be made at your new place!

Saw super HOT guy in cafeteria as I was getting my morning coffee. But couldn't bring myself to say anything to him...hopefully next time.

I am not getting any responses back from the car dealers that I emailed. They all say email for price but then never respond to your emails - ugh! I hate new car shopping.

Short and sweet today but hopefully will have more to write about as the week progresses.
